Historical and cultural center in Turkestan
If a building becomes architecture, then it is art
At the heart of the master plan is a vision to reimagine Turkestan as an optimal living space for its inhabitants, all while tapping into the city's untapped tourism allure. Preserving its rich historical and cultural legacy stood as a paramount consideration throughout the design phase.
The master plan proposes a seamless melding of the city's transit infrastructure with public transportation avenues and primary routes to the new airport, bus stations, and train terminal. Moreover, it introduces captivating recreational and dining zones, featuring tiered terraces dotted with eateries and cafes, nestled near the Eastern Bazaar.
A hallmark of the plan is its adaptability to the local climate, coupled with innovative architectural concepts, such as caravanserai-inspired hotels located a stone's throw from the bazaar. The master plan further champions expansive green spaces in the guise of parks and plazas, as well as lush gateways to the city's historic district. These regions are seamlessly linked via pedestrian pathways and loop roads dedicated to electric buses, ensuring fluid and eco-friendly navigation.
